Why prices vary so much
If you have ever asked for website quotes, you probably received prices ranging from €100 to €10,000 for "the same" thing. The difference is not (only) greed - it is the difference between a template installed in two hours and a digital product built for your business.
Brochure website: €400-1,600
A properly built brochure website - design adapted to your brand, 5-10 pages, basic Google optimisation, contact form - usually falls in this range. Below that threshold, you are almost certainly getting a template with the text swapped out.
What influences the price:
- Custom design vs. theme - designing from scratch costs more, but it sets you apart.
- The number of pages and the complexity of the content.
- SEO included or not - careful, "SEO optimised website" in quotes is often just a checkbox.

A serious online store (Shopify or WooCommerce) starts from around €600 and includes payment setup, courier integration with automatic waybills, invoicing, marketing tracking and training. The price grows with the number of products, integrations and custom design, while custom stores built from scratch for B2B flows or large catalogues start from €5,000 upwards.
Custom website / web application: from €3,000
When you need features that no platform offers - booking systems, client portals, automations - we are talking about custom software. Here the price depends on complexity, not on the number of pages.
The hidden costs nobody tells you about
- Maintenance - a website without upkeep becomes slow and vulnerable (€25-100 per month, depending on complexity).
- Hosting and domain - €60-160 a year for a brochure website.
- Rebuilding a cheap website - the most expensive website is the one you pay for twice.

Do not buy the cheapest website - buy the one that pays for itself. A €1,000 website that brings you 3 clients a month is infinitely cheaper than a €300 one that shows up nowhere in Google.
